The recent earthquakes in Southeast Turkey and in Syria have affected us all deeply, and it is important to have the support and resources to cope with the aftermath. The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) at Aljazari International Schools recognizes the importance of addressing the needs of our community and has taken steps to provide support through a series of Awareness Sessions.
Today, the first Awareness Seminar titled “Life after the Earthquake” was held for our teachers. The session focused on the effects of the disaster and the emotional and physical consequences it has had on us. Through this seminar, our teachers were able to connect with each other and find ways to support one another in these difficult times.
The PTA has also organized Awareness (Group) Sessions for our students, with the first ones being held today. The sessions are designed to help our students express themselves through art and various psychological activities and to provide them with a supportive environment where they can connect with each other.
In addition to the sessions for teachers and students, the PTA has also planned seminars for our parents, which will take place later this week. These Awareness Sessions will continue throughout the week and provide a supportive space for all members of our community to come together and address the challenges they are facing.
We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to the PDP Department for their efforts in organizing these sessions. We hope that by coming together and supporting each other, we can overcome the difficulties of the aftermath of the earthquake.
